You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Although this began as an arrangement of my work of the same name for solo piano, already published on Score Exchange, adding a part for the violin resulted in a much-expanded version with the violin contributing new material of its own and acting as a separate voice, independent of the piano.
The original inspiration for 'Evening Light' was the gradual onset of dusk, as shadows gather and colours fade. With the darkening twilight, streets and homes turn on their lights, sparkling in the deepening gloom. The piece ends with the arrival of night and the silence of a world moved once more to slumber.
