This short dance movement was originally written for wind dectet as part of a large scale work for 100 musicians. South London Community Music (hence SLCM) is a charity that holds several different ensemble combinations (concert band, jazz band and wind groups) under its umbrella and the suite (�The Voices��) was first performed by the massed ensemble earlier this year. Rearranged for piano and violin, the interplay between the two in this movement helps to emphasise the ethos of co-operation and encouragement that I intended to permeate throughout the whole work.
