"Congestion Charge" is the final movement of my "Suite for Tenor Saxophone", dedicated to the immensely talented Dan Forshaw. It is full of time-signature changes, additive rhythms and discord as it depicts an inner-city traffic-jam. Emergency sirens sound in the distance.
The E-major and F-major sections, however, are brief interludes of tranquillity in the hustle and bustle of the grid-locked city.
