Go tango! is a kind of tango(in 5/4) sandwich. A brisk dance begins, giving way to the ’filling’ the final section grows out of the tango until the dance finally takes hold again, to end the piece. Go tango! was premiered at the British music Information Centre, London, as part of the 1989 British Contemporary Music Festival.
