Daniel Purcell was the youngest of 3 brothers. He was noted for his theatrical works. He played recorder and flute @ Stationer's Hall 1708-1714; also at the Coachmaker's Hall 1722-1732. He also played 6 concerts at Drury Lane Theatre 1729. He performed his own 'interval music' concerts in London. I personally have never been able to play this piece properly, nor have any of my pupils. Perhaps you will be more successful than I. Good luck.
