This piece was written to try out the new feature in Sibelius 4 - the write to film. Michael Sullivan reports from Aberfan on the disaster that occurred 20 years ago when the colliery�s slag heap collapsed on 21/10/1966. The report contains film of the rescue operation and distraught onlookers, and points out the landslide area today, the cemetery arches which commemorate the children who died, and relatives tending their graves.
This clip contains images of people in distress, I hope the music I have written shows them the ultimate respect.
