David's City was conceived as a pop cantata for Junior (7-11 year old) children. It is based on the life story of King David - using 'Once in royal David's city' as a starting point. It can be performed with as little as one piano part and unison voices, but I composed it to give as many children as possible the opportunity to play instruments too - so the score is full of opportunities! [I was lucky to have a Parent/Teacher/Friend Choir too, so there could be a 4-part choir included!] I also wrote a script and would be happy to share this if required. 'David and his Father' is written for unison voices and piano, with three possible descant recorder parts (one is straightforward and doubles the voice part, one is a little harder, and the last is challenging).
