Dido's Lament from Dido and Aeneas by Purcell has been arranged for solo recorder with an organ (or piano) accompaniment. This was originally written for solo voice with a string accompaniment, but I have reduced it down to an organ/piano part and solo recorder. This is my favourite point in the opera; this song is hauntingly beautiful and fits the recorder well. I have left the lyrics in the score so the performer can read the original text when rehearsing.

The PDF contains the music for both a solo soprano recorder version and also a version for the alto recorder. Buying the score gives you access to both arrangements.
