my friend Jen asked me/told me that i had to write a piece for her. she's a big fan of old-time music, but i tend to write things that are far from that. so, in this piece, i make a half-hearted attempt to combine the zeal of appalachian fiddle music and the harmonic freshness of a more modern composition. (also, you play a kick drum with it.)
NOTE: 08/07/09, this is a very rough draft. within the month, i plan to have revisions and a live .mp3. make due with this for now, or just change to a different page.
