This song 'Goodbye Anancy' was created for the animals of Jasper Town in Portland, Jamaica and led by Brer Rat to sing farewell to Anancy as he left to catch the banana boat from Port Antonio. The melody was adapted from the Scottish folk song to which Robert Burns wrote the famous poem Auld Lang Syne. Althea has added some lyrics.
