This is a quiz I constructed to test beginning guitarists' knowledge of half steps, whole steps, sharps, flats and major scales. Each student begins the quiz by constructing an aide, by writing down the full gamut of tab and note names used on the guitar (in 1st position). They can then use this as a resource to help them complete ascending and descending half and whole steps, and to help them finally construct a major scale with the W and H indications provided to help them.
