This tongue in cheek 19th century style piece was requested by Elizabeth Emerson, whose clarinet quartet has enjoyed my previous offerings (Tango for 'cellos, Clarinet quartet in A minor, Solace) but wanted something a little more challenging. As they had enjoyed James Waterson's clarinet quartet, I took that as inspiration for the style. I hope you enjoy it.
