This work requires a little explanation. It was the result of both a well thought out bass figuration, and a randomly generated counterpoint that struck me as reminiscent of a certain city I am both fond of and at the same time never would wish to live in. And the price, well that was just a silly idea, a comment really on the absurdity of even writing music and the intense cost versus profit. Considering: the time to learn to play, the time to write, the time to typeset, and the time to record, it would take a hundred such cities to offset such an effort. And others go into the world and do something slighter and make millions.
