This is my "Anglican Chant" setting of Psalm LI.
This psalm is used primarily during penitential season.
Although Psalm 22 is the "Liturgically correct" choice,
this work can be quite effective, when sung during the "stripping" of the alter in "Holy Week", for those parishes that use penitential psalmody as oppossed to silence when doing this.
I have found that when you alternate between Accompanied & A Cappella, this piece really comes to life. When being sung A Cappella, or Accompanied, using "straight-tone" is preferred by me, to help maintain tuning, timbre, and balance.
