Movement III - Again, dynamics are to played close to their extremes to bring out the full range of depth from the piano. Use of pedal is left to the discretion of the performer unless directed. 'A tempo' at 160 is to match newly set 'A tempo, meno mosso' at 149. At 163, performers should treat grace notes more as a candenza, albeit extremely short, than aim to maintain them at tempo.
