The score includes both the original Prelude n.5 BWV 855a in E minor from Bach and the arrangement of this piece by Siloti, Prelude in B minor, as interpreted by Emil Gilels.

Alexander Siloti dedicated his arrangement to his daughter Kyrienna Siloti. According to her, Alexander Siloti used to play the same melody twice. The first pass emphasized the 16th notes while the second pass gave more focus to the middle voice.

This piece has been interpreted differently by many pianists over the years and in the score of the Prelude in B minor I try to capture precisely Emil Gilels' own rendition of the piece as he introduced subtle differences in the voicing compared to Siloti's original score.
