You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This quartet is based on classical/romantic models. It has been performed several times by the University of Redlands String Quartet, Western Society of Chamber Music String Quartet, and Cuatro Puntos String Quartet.
Mvt. 3, Scherzo (Presto-Andante-Presto), (B-flat major). The Scherzo (literally- "joke") is a rolling dance of a playfully teasing nature. Unexpected harmonic and rhythmic changes abound. This movement follows the traditional instrumental dance form. The middle section is a Trio, which provides stylistic relief and contrast to the Scherzo section, which returns without repeats.
The live mp3 is a recording of the Cuatro Puntos String Quartet, 11/23/2013: Aaron Packard, violin Annie Trepanier, violin Kevin Bishop, viola Pablo Issa Skaric, cello
