This piece was written for my mother's quartet and chamber orchestra in 2015. It is a standard 3 movement quartet (1st movement sonata form, slow 2nd movement, in this case a lament, and rondo finale 3rd movement). The 3rd movement features a groove section near the end, something I've been working on in my chamber music over the past few years. I hope you enjoy the piece!
