These Suite - consisting of 4 Dances - originally was composed for sopran recorder and trumpet in Bb, but can also be played with any other sopran and alto instrument (for Sibelius, I used flute and trumpet).
The Suite bases on the "Kadenz" (Tonika-Subdominantparallele-Dominante-Tonika), which means: 1 G-major; 2 a-minor; 3 D-major; 4 G-major; The first and last dance are composed as a fugue in medium tempo (whereas the last dance uses the contrapunctus from the first dance as theme), the second dance imitates a slow waltz, and the third dance imitates a rondo with a ritornell and two episodes, one for each voice.
