The influence behind this piece came from listening to one of Hayden�s sonatas. The piece begins slowly which is meant to represent a pathetic figure wondering the cold dark streets of England in the early 1900's. Part B represents the figure being chased out of town by cruel policemen. Part C is where the figure arrives at a gypsy dance and feast, with animals such as badgers and foxes in the forest. The piece then returns to part A as the dance ends and the figure is alone again.
