THIS IS A SIMPLE BOOGIE WOOGIE WITH A VIOLA SOLO ( OR IT COULD BE PLAYED BY THE VIOLA SECTION ). THE ARRANGEMENT IS BASED ON THE TRADITIONAL 12 BAR BLUES STRUCTURE AND IS 5 CHORUSES LONG. IT IS IN THE KEY OF "C" FOR THE FIRST FOUR AND MODULATES TO "D" FOR THE LAST CHORUS AND HAS TAGS.–––––––-SOME HARMONIC AND RHYTHMIC DEVICES ARE USED TO GIVE THE "SHUFFLE" EFFECT. IF YOU HAVE PLAYERS THAT WOULD LIKE TO IMPROVISE–-REPEAT LETTER "B" WITH ONLY PIANO, BASS AND GUITAR PLAYING AND LET YOUR PLAYER HAVE AT IT.––––-The Heritage Series is written to be easy to play and easy to listen to. They all have familiar tunes, sound full, have easy ranges and involve nothing more complicated than an eight note. The object is to produce music and not to display technique. The harmonies, lines and logical counterpoints make these arrangements play well with modest technique. Markings are at minimum to keep things simple.

String Bass and Piano must be used to make these arrangements work. The optional acoustic guitar (NOT ELECTRIC) will help the "rhythm section". Electric bass could be substituted. If you use an electric bass player, sometimes they can be converted to an upright bass or cello player player( –a devious but legal way to get more players in your school orchestra). There is a 3rd Violin part that is really a treble clef viola part if you have no viola players, or to bolster what you have.
