"Columbia, the Gem of the Ocean" is an 1843 adaptation by Thomas A'Becket, Sr. (1808-1890) of the anonymous British tune "Britannia, the Pride of the Ocean." A'Becket also adapted the lyrics for his American audience. Here, Joel Jacklich (A.S.C.A.P.) has arranged the piece for string quartet. Enjoy, as you perform it at your next 4th of July concert.
