It is based on a series of African and Cuban rhythms in 12/8 and 4/4 time. Also included in the score, are written parts for background vocal calls which are optional. Because the percussion instruments, such as the djembe, songo, conga and bongos, rely on tone/slaps as well as rhythm, please listen to the mp3 for a more authentic representation. Scorch player handles these instruments as mere tom sounds. This piece will be a real �crowd pleaser� for your next concert. All parts are available upon request. Your comments are always welcome.
