"’E Last Dram" was written in 2008 for the Caithness Handbell Ringers and uses 3 octaves of handbells. It can be played by 10 ringers.

Picture the scene: an old Caithness crofter settles in front of the peat fire after a long day’s work and reaches for his bottle of malt whisky. There’s just one dram left in the bottle. He pours and appreciates it as the fire dims, the music becomes more mellow, and his life gradually loses focus…
