Its burning, brothers, its burning! Oy, our poor little town alas is burning!
Written by the famous folskmentshn Mark Warshawsky (1840-1907), Es Brent has become an anthem for the holocaust.
Es Brent Variations draws a parallel between the horrors of the holocaust and the ones we see in the Middle East today. In mixing Middle Eastern rhythms with Jewish scales the piece strives to unite conflicting cultures.
