Dykes’s familiar tune with Reginald Heber’s text originated during my undergraduate days as an assignment - in this case, a first effort in a choral arranging class, in 1970. I copyrighted it in 1978, along with several other works, under the title _Lenten and Easter Miscellany_, for the purpose of its being used as an unaccompanied choral prelude to my setting of "Come, Ye Faithful, Raise the Strain" (tune: "Sain Ffagan," at this site), with the latter serving as an Easter Introit. "Holy, Holy, Holy," of course, can be used for general worship as well as for special days within the Church Year.
