It was the first creative thing of note that I ever completed. I got the idea for the strange mixed-meter from the not so strange Anointed/Michael W. Smith version on the My Utmost for His Highest Covenant Collection. From there, things went crazy. The rhythm isn't as bad as it looks. Listen to it a few times, and it will start to feel more natural. I've done this in church once or twice, but it seems more suited for a solo recital or concert. I used it as part of my senior recital in high school.
