During my life, I've had times when I was so disgusted with myself, I had to beg God for forgiveness. This piece is basically a musical prayer. It starts out falteringly, and as the speaker gets his voice, he bursts into song. In the middle is an encounter with Satan, and the speaker's fall once again, and his desire to be close to God.
I'd recommend this piece as one of those "modern-day worship"-type pieces.
