The Lost Patrol March – Concert Band Sheet Music by Keith Terrett

The Lost Patrol by Keith Terrett is a stirring concert march written in the traditional British military-band style. The march is primarily in the major mode, with a contrasting bass subject in the relative minor.

Featuring tuneful, memorable melodies and rewarding parts throughout the ensemble, The Lost Patrol gives every section of the Concert Band something enjoyable to play.

Composed in McLeod Ganj in the Indian Himalayas during Christmas 2012, this exciting march includes a memorable theatrical conclusion. Towards the end, the musicians bow and leave the stage one by one, until only the piccolo, bassoon, muted trumpet and snare drummer remain to complete the performance.

It is an ideal closing piece for the first half of a concert and an entertaining choice for school bands, community wind bands, military bands, festivals and concert-band competitions.
