The award winning Missa Brevis was first performed in the Great Hall of the National Gallery of Victoria, in 1990. It subsequently became an international hit receiving performances across Australia and in Europe. The composer Jeremy Richards earns a modest living from composing and teaching. The Sanctus, became the most celebrated movement in the mass, with references to fifteenth century composers of the Old Hall Manuscript such as Leonel Power and Dunstable.
