This piece, by Emmy-award-winning composer Kurt Bestor comes from his popular album "The Dance" which traces a little girl who dances and her father who watches in the wings. Reverie comes later in the album as the father, as his daughter has grown, reflects on the various chapters of her dance life and his memories. The song is written in a gentle waltz as if loving father dances with his daughter.
This piece is perfect for an intermediate pianist and is a good one to illustrate bringing simple emotion into a piece.
rev·er·ie - a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream.
