Description
The Swan - (from Carnival of the Animals) for Violoncello Solo and Piano as played by Kathryn Stott and Yo Yo Ma. The Carnival of the Animals (Le carnaval des animaux) is a humorous musical suite of fourteen movements by the French Romantic composer Camille Saint-Saëns. The work was written for private performance by an ad hoc ensemble of two pianos and other instruments, and lasts around 25 minutes.
A staple of the cello repertoire, this is one of the most well-known movements of the suite, usually in the version for cello with solo piano which was the only publication of this work in Saint-Saëns's lifetime. This arrangement was written for Violoncello Solo and piano accompaniment. We are sure that you and your listeners will love listening to this beautiful music.
