It is acomic opera which can be performed by adults(two) and children or entirely by adults. The music falls into two main categories - Mr. and Mrs. Twit (Basso profundo and countertenor whose music is neo classical and rather stylised and the music of the other characters which is more varied and includes reggae, ragtime rock and barber shop type music - with the odd pastiche from G and S and other operas. The music to the overture is based on main themes from the opera.
