For many years I wanted to write a piece of music that combined the elements of Jazz and classical styles, a la Laurie Johnson’s symphony "Synthesis". Also as a big Don Ellis fan I appreciated what he was also doing. This piece sort of combines the Funk and modern classical idioms, with a little of the exotic, the scalic passage, hence, the title of this piece. Unfortunately the rota-drums playback sounds on the HTML are not "as is" and sound like a piano for some reason. The midi upload is better and sounds are correct.
