One of the most famous dances from the ballet, and an exciting close to any performance. This version has been simplified to make it more accessible to a student ensemble. The 3rd parts are considerably easier than the 1st parts, the low notes are used sparingly on all instruments, and the top parts are capped at high D for oboe and high G for bassoon. Most notably, the very difficult 16th note passages found in the original flute and clarinet parts have been omitted in favor of the simple 8th note part in the original oboe parts.
