'Three Little Maids from School' arranged for woodwind trio of flute, clarinet and bassoon. A bass clarinet alternative to the bassoon part is provided for added flexibility.

‘Three Little Maids from School’ is one of the better known tunes from The Mikado (or The Town of Titipu), the ninth of Gilbert & Sullivan’s Savoy Operas. Sullivan’s music successfully captures the youthful optimism and enthusiasm of the three girls as they leave behind the restrictions of the schoolroom environment for the adult world. Apparently, Gilbert’s inspiration for a trio of Japanese schoolgirls stemmed from the short stature of several key female members of the company!
